  1.  Financial Report
Bob Cochlin reported a fund balance of $11,645.30 in checking and PayPal, allocated as General $8,501.43, Malvern Federal grant $2,901.18 and RTC grant $242.69.  
  • County Update:  Owen Prusack presenting:
  • E Whiteland Twp/Conestoga Road/Rte. 401 crossing signal – The crossing upgrade to include passive, camera-actuation similar to Ship Rd should be performed during the week of 11/27.  Contractor will propose a cost to upgrade the Westlakes crossing.
 
    • Foundry Way – Gemmill, the contractor was on the site today; thermoplastic work completed; signs should be done by 11/22.
    • Phase 4A west extension to Oaklands Corporate Center – No change.  Final design in progress including PennDOT required alternate footing design for the Whitford Rd Bridge due to limestone issues.  Construction bidding anticipated in spring to early summer, 2018.
    • Swedesford Plaza Shopping Center parking – An understanding has been reached with the new Property Manager on public parking adjacent to the former hhgregg site.  The county’s attorney is working on final details including the number of parking spaces, in the neighborhood of 20.
    • Group events – in 2016 there were 10 events scheduled with the Parks Dept.  In 2017 there were 4.
    • User counts – New counters suggest over 300,000 trips this year.  The old counter data is suspect.
    • Community Day 2018 – This event at the Exton Park put on by CC Parks and W Whiteland Twp will probably be on July 8.  It will conclude with fireworks.
 
  • Bench donation – Tim reported a privately donated bench will be installed by the Facilities staff on the southwest corner at the Phoenixville Pike crossing.
  • Fix-It Station – This donation from Philadelphia Memorial Park will be sited at the northwest corner at the Phoenixville Pike crossing.
  • CVT West Alignment Study – The County Planning Commission study of a multiuse trail alignment between Downingtown and Atglen to connect to the Enola Low Grade Trail is working on a sketch plan.

    • Sat 10/14 West Vincent Twp. Sustainability Fair – Gail: Good interest.
    • Sat 11/11 Prescribe-a-Trail Walk, Penn Medicine – A walk promoting walking for exercise had 13 participants, led by Dr. William Duffy, promoted by the Circuit Trails Coalition, represented by Tom Sexton, Director, NE office of the RTC and organized by Molly Duffy, totaled 13 walkers.
 
  • New Matters
 
  • 11/4-5 Philly Bike Expo & Electric Bike Expo – Mike reported 8-10 companies were promoting e-assist bikes.  There was a panel on the Circuit Trails including updates on the Schuykill River Trail and the Montgomery County portion of the CVT.
  • 11/8 Semiannual Circuit Trails meeting – Mike reported the 9 county Circuit is now projected to have 811 miles at build out in 2040.  Superintendent Prusack agreed to permit 5” medallion markers be placed on CVT mile markers.  The Coalition is calling for increased efforts to add 20 mi of trail annually.  
  • Chester County has completed a Wayfinding study; implementation needs funding.
