The Chester County maintanence crews will begin mowing the edges of the CVT for its full length beginning on the 2nd of June. Exercise caution around these crews.

The CVT will be closed at the North Bacton Hill intersection on 1/8 and possibly into 1/9 7AM – 4PM.  The work itself will be on the road but will require the intersection to be closed. 

Tree removal work on the Chester Valley Trail is continuing and will require closure of the following sections of trail in East Whiteland Township: – Phoenixville Pike to the Rt. 202 Underpass, closure Dec. 4-6. – Mill Lane to Conestoga Road/Rt. 401, closure, Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 11-15.

The Chester Valley Trail will be closed for repairs between Business Rt 30 and Ship Road in West Whiteland Township. Work is scheduled to start the week of September 25th and will continue through the month of October.  Trail users are asked to please avoid use of the trail in this area. Due to some hazardous tree issues, the CVT will be closed between Route 30 and Ship Road this Friday, August 18, between 7AM and 2PM.  The primary hazard is leaning away from the trail and should not be a threat to users in the meantime, but please exercise caution in the area regardless.

The Circuit Trails organization is working to establish an extensive trail network in the Philadelphia region. They recently highlighted the Chester Valley Trail (CVT) and have a nice video highlight of the trail. Check it out.

The Malin Station community will be sealcoating Knickerbocker Lane on 8/8 and 8/14 (one side each date), including the CVT crossing.  The contractor will manage any minor detours needed for trail traffic.  There may be short delays in that area until the surface is dry and the crosswalk has been repainted.  If there is rain on either date the […]
